Elizabeth Winstead
Voice Instruction
Elizabeth is a Wilson, NC native and earned a Bachelor of Music from Meredith College and a Master of Music from East Carolina University. She is a member of National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and encourages singers to compete in the NATS auditions each year.
David Winstead
Acting and Theatrical Instruction
David is a 2012 graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts Playwrights Horizons Theatre School with a BFA in Theatre. He has been teaching acting lessons and theatre classes/workshops at the studio since it opened in 2016. David is also a director and teaches basic Stage Combat classes and College Audition Preparation. Some of David’s directing credits include PUFFS, Noises Off and Bang Bang You’re Dead.

Alex Guyton
Guitar, Bass, and Ukulele
Alex Guyton is a strings instructor and musician based in Wilson, NC, with over 10 years of experience in guitar, bass, ukulele, and more. After spending three years in Chicago at DePaul University as a Film/TV student, Alex transferred to and graduated from Barton College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2025. In Chicago, he befriended musicians and performed in multiple bands as a bassist/vocalist. Alex now is in local band, Hornworm, while also being a fill-in bassist for other groups. His passion for music has only grown over the years, leading him to become an instructor so that he might inspire others to play music as well.

Drew Hackney
Songwriting, Voice and Piano (Nashville-numbering style)
Drew Hackney hails from Wilson but spent 13 years in Chicago and Asheville, toning up his musical chops with bands like Nice Bison, Hacknois, Sanctum Sully, Alpine Subs, and solo as Drew Hackney. He has been singing, playing drums, and piano for more than 30 years! He also taught at the internationally-known School of Rock in Chicago, and specializes in the Nashville method of teaching. The Nashville/song-based method focuses on learning through contemporary songs, breaking them down to understand theory and technique in a practical, engaging way, based on a simple numbering system for scales. He loves classic rock, progressive rock, grunge music, and indie music, but loves teaching anything you can throw at him!
