Welcome to my studio! I am thrilled that you are interested in pursuing voice training. I find great joy in helping people realize their expressive potential through singing. Whether your goal is to be a professional singer, to prepare for auditions, to be a more accomplished choir singer, or to improve your voice for personal satisfaction, I am here to help you! I welcome students of all ages, starting from age 8.

I have been teaching singers for more than twenty-five years, both in my private home studio and in two colleges, Barton College and Methodist University. In addition, I have conducted church, community and college choirs, among them The Tar River Chorus, The Playhouse Choral Society and the Methodist University Women’s Chorus. I have also served as musical director for theatrical performances for Theater at Barton, Methodist University, Playhouse of Wilson, and Act for Youth.

I am fortunate that my performance experiences have been varied. I have enjoyed many professional opportunities as a recitalist, oratorio and opera singer, choir singer, and as a singer/actor in theatrical productions. I often serve as a lecturer and as an adjudicator for singing competitions on the state and regional levels.

I am a Wilson, North Carolina native and I earned a Bachelor of Music from Meredith College and a Master of Music from East Carolina University.  I am a member of National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and I encourage singers to compete in the NATS auditions each year.

I look forward to hearing you sing!

Elizabeth
