I met many voice teachers in my life and I can say with certainty that Elizabeth Winstead was the most influential on me. With her I discovered not only my voice but also my artistry and acting skills. I had teachers with prominent names in classical singing but no one was as dedicated, nurturing or as helpful for me as was Elizabeth. She helped me open doors in my singing career. In less than a year of studying with her I participated at the NATS competition in North Carolina, winning third place. Less than two years after that I gave my first solo concert and won a full scholarship to study and earn a masters in music and vocal performance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am certain that any future success of mine is due to her setting me on the right path, as I am sure she has done for many other young singers.
Elizabeth Winstead's work as a producer of new theater is pitch perfect. She is excellent at making sure that every person she works with feels supported, and that they have all the tools they need to tell their stories in the way they need to be told. She's a tireless advocate for the arts, for artists, and for the future of new plays in Wilson, North Carolina. Working with her was a truly fantastic experience, and I recommend her to anyone looking for a producing partner.

Elizabeth helped me find my voice when I was struggling with my expressive identity. Before studying with her, my breathing technique was underformed and my pitch was sometimes non-existent. In only a few months, she taught me how to control my voice in a way I could have never learned alone. With her help I was able to expand my boundaries without exhausting myself. She is a true pro!
Elizabeth is a consummate professional who brings great energy and preparation to her performances and her teaching. I value my time with her as a colleague at Methodist University, where she made significant improvements to our vocal program. It was a joy to watch her students' vocal transformations during their course of study. Elizabeth gives singers the tools they need to become their best.

Taking voice lessons is so much more than just a lesson. Liz teaches the whole person. She loves to watch you grow and succeed not only as a performer and vocalist but as a person. Liz has truly helped shape who I am today! She is a true professional and beyond talented. I couldn't imagine taking lessons with anyone else!
Elizabeth Winstead is the epitome of a polished professional musician. What is so incredible about her talent and attention to detail is that she has the ability to establish the same perfection in her students, and with those she works in a professional setting. My experiences with her on stage and as a contracted director of children has proven her careful framework and initiative for everyone to achieve success to their maximum ability. Whether you are a talented singer, a beginning singer or the parent of a budding young talent, Elizabeth is the perfect mentor.
